There has been a lot of talk in the media about Papa John’s and the future of their name.
This talk has all come about following the departure of the founder from the company. Some people think in his absence Papa John’s should change their name in order to distance themselves from him.
Yet still, most people think the name should stay since he was in fact the person who started the company. This way his name still lives on in the company he built and helped grow into the success it is today.
Another consideration is the business aspect. Changing the name of a company is no small task. There is a lot that goes into branding.
If Papa John’s does decide to change its name, it would lose all of the name recognition that helped grow the business. It would almost be like starting over.
